Frequently Asked Questions

How old does my child have to be to attend children’s church?
We welcome any child in Grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade, preschool classrooms at the West Campus are now open for 2-4 year olds

Can I bring my children to class late?
We do encourage you to bring your children on time each week, we do accept kids at anytime during the church service.

When is children’s ministry offered?
Agape Kids church is offered during our Sunday service times. North campus, 9am and West Campus, 11:30 am.

What steps do I take to have my child baptized?
The first and most important step is to help your child understand the significance of salvation.
Please also remember that baptism does not "save" your child.  Romans 10:9 says-- "if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Baptism is a step of obedience that is taken after the profession of faith has occurred.

Once your child is prepared to receive Christ and be baptized, here are the steps you take:
1.    Attend a New Believers Class for Kids with your child:
Each child is given the opportunity to make a personal commitment with prayer to follow Jesus.
Please contact the Children’s Ministry office for the next classroom date.

This class is required for all children who are baptized at Mt. Olivet.  Children must be at least 6 years of age to attend and parents are required to attend this class with their child.

2.    Attend your child’s Baptism, Baptism is held at both North and West campus.  Please contact the children’s ministry office at child.ministry@mtolivet.com for the next kids baptism class date.
